Hello. My name is Ryan Mullinax and I'm the owner of Allergic To Handcuffs Bail Bonds. I got my start in the bail bonds industry in April of 2010. I was living in Phoenix and my then girlfriend's family asked her and I to come in with them to start a new bail bonds business in addition to the one they already had going. Well, little did I know that what they were doing (and involving me in) was highly illegal. As soon as I figured out what was going on I immediately took steps to remove myself from the situation as I did not want my professional reputation tarnished by their activities.

After I left that company, myself and some friends started a new bail bonds company called Sanctuary Bail Bonds. We all had the same principals that made us want to treat our clients fairly and with compassion. Word soon spread throughout Phoenix that we were the bail bonds agency to help anyone incarcerated. After two years of the business going gang busters (I had been living in Phoenix for 8 years at this point) I felt I was over the Phoenix heat. So I decided to move to San Diego.

I moved to San Diego in June of 2012. I had already obtained all the necessary licenses from the California Department of Insurance so I thought I was ready to go. Little did I know that things work very differently in San Diego as opposed to Phoenix. It took awhile for me to get my bearings in the new environment, but once I started meeting people and my reputation as an honest and above board bail bondsman started spreading the business really started growing.
